Hi Jo,
There's a lot of crappy software packages out there, don't buy MGI videowave, it sucks at anything more than home movies. Get something like Adobe Premiere (a lot of money, like ?350). You can get the trial from www.adobe.com and it's worth it. Im using it now. Couple that with a good capture card (try www.pinnaclesys.com) and you are away. On a final note, if you do choose Adobe, don't BUY it, just, ahem, get it without pating for it (crack it). That's the way! Hope this has been a help.

Has any one ever used Dazzle? I saw it the otherday and thought I should get an opinion about it before anything...

If you get Premiere or Adobe After Effects you can get a plug-in called "Cinelook" which will tone each frame and even add straches or dirt to the frames and makes it look like film.

A badly lit film, however, will look fake if you use this on it.

i suggest to use adobe after effect 5.0...
it is better at everything with colour collour correction and compositing,...!!
or use Combustion from discreet...!!!
they are lovely..!!
u just have to add boris effect or/and final effect >>> plugins
i'm sure, u'll be surprise..
